🌺 Aloha, Dear Friends and Family!

Wow, it has been a while, and what a roller coaster of a ride these past few months have been for me!

First of all, I wanted to share with you all that the Lord has been continually showing me more of the path He is calling me toward. I am doing my best to listen to Him and follow wherever He leads.

I have been serving as full-time staff in the mailroom for quite some time now. About a month or two ago, I found myself running the mailroom completely by myself, which was quite a lot to handle! I am very thankful that we now have some more help in the mailroom, and it has been such a blessing to have a great team that works well together.

Besides working in the mailroom, I have also been working part-time at Target. It is an “On Demand” position, which means I can pick up shifts when they are available. It has been working out really well for me because it gives me the flexibility I need while also allowing me to save some money and pay my bills.

I also recently moved from the house where I had been staying with my friend. I was absolutely honored and incredibly grateful for her generosity in letting me stay with her. It was such a blessing during that season of my life.

But once again, just when I needed housing, the Lord provided exactly what I needed. Within just a matter of a few weeks, I started getting stressed about my housing situation and where I was going to stay. But the Lord, as He so often does, provided exactly what I needed right when I needed it—and even better, the rent is cheaper than I had originally expected!

It was such a reminder to me that I don't need to worry about the future because He already knows what I need.

What’s Next?

Over the past few months, I have been spending a lot of time thinking, talking with others, and prayerfully seeking what the Lord has in store for me next.

One of the first things on the horizon is that I am planning to take a three-week seminar in Alexandria, Egypt, at the beginning of January called BTS 1. And no, not the K-pop band! 😂 BTS stands for Bible Teachers School.

By taking this seminar, it could open doors for me to potentially teach in Bible schools and have someone walk alongside me as I continue growing in my skills and ability to teach others.

Although I can often be pretty quiet and introverted, when it comes to teaching the Word, I absolutely love doing the research and preparation that goes into being able to teach it effectively. It is something I genuinely enjoy, and I am excited to see where the Lord may lead me with it.

Community Development School

Another opportunity that has been coming up in conversations is the Community Development School.

A friend here, who actually staffed at my last school here in Kona, has been talking with me more about it. As I believe I have mentioned in a few of my previous newsletters, I had actually wanted to take this school last year. However, there were a lot of things happening in my life at the time, and it just wasn't the right season for me to do it.

This April, I am really hoping that I will be able to take the school in Mexico, just outside of Tijuana. I think it would be an amazing opportunity—not only to learn and grow, but also to continue being immersed in the culture and hopefully become more fluent in Spanish.

Just this past weekend, I was accepted into the school, and I am planning on having a phone call with the school leaders in the upcoming weeks.

Pioneering?

Another possibility that has recently come up is pioneering.

I recently happened to meet the previous base leaders of a base that used to run in Phoenix, Arizona. I mentioned to them that if they were ever to restart a base there, I would love to be a part of re-pioneering the campus. They were interested in continuing the conversation, so in the upcoming weeks, we plan to sit down together and talk through the possibilities.

If this is something the Lord opens the door for, I would love to use what I learn through the Community Development School as a tool to help pioneer a campus.

Honestly, Phoenix would be an amazing place to serve. There are so many people who are struggling and such an incredible amount of need for the Lord. Whenever I see people experiencing homelessness, my heart absolutely breaks and burns for them to be reached, especially because I think of my own brother.

Phoenix is also home to a large Mexican community, and being so close to Mexico, I would absolutely love to get involved with local churches and ministries and help reach and serve the Mexican community there.

I honestly can't say that I have been more excited about what the Lord may be putting together!

In some ways, I don't want to get my hopes too high, but I feel like in this season I have been really excited and, surprisingly, less worried about the finances.

Recently, Dan Bowman came into the mailroom to get his mail. For those of you who don't know him, he is a longtime YWAMer and someone who is full of wisdom and love for the Lord. He shared something that really challenged me.

He talked about how many young people struggle with finances and challenged us to think about how we honor God with our finances. He reminded us how amazing it is to depend on the Lord for our finances and how, as many of us know, we are constantly having to trust Him to provide.

That really stuck with me.

If the Lord is calling me to do these things, then I don't need to worry about how everything will work out. He will provide.

And then, just the other day, the lady I work with in the mailroom told me that while she was praying, she had an image of me teaching in front of people and being passionate about what I was teaching.

I haven't told her yet about Egypt, Mexico, or even Phoenix.

In my heart, I had been asking the Lord for confirmation about what I have been feeling called to do, so hearing that was really meaningful to me.

An Invitation to Pray & Partner With Me

So, I am asking those of you who are able to please pray about whether the Lord might put it on your heart to support me monthly.

I really believe the Lord is going to do some exciting things in this upcoming year, and I am continually putting aside my own money so that I can be ready to go this December.

Even if you are able to give $10 a month, that would be absolutely amazing and such a blessing to me.

Right now, I have two consistent supporters who combined is a total of $275 which is an amazing start, and I am incredibly grateful for them!

More than anything, I would love for you to pray with me—that I would continue listening to the Lord, that I would recognize the doors He is opening, and that I would have the courage to walk through them when He does.

There are a lot of unknowns ahead, but I am excited to see what the Lord has in store.

Looking back over these past few months, I can see so many little ways He has provided, opened doors, and reminded me that He is faithful.

Thank you all so much for continuing to pray for me, encourage me, and be a part of this journey. I am so grateful for each of you!

With love,
E'Lon Still ❤️
